Frequently asked questions

Good to know before you book.

What identification should I bring?

Bring a current, acceptable form of identification. Because document and signer circumstances vary, confirm your identification when scheduling.

Does the document need to be signed before the appointment?

Not always. If the required notarial act calls for signing in the notary’s presence, keep the document unsigned until the appointment. Do not leave blanks in the document.

Can the notary choose which certificate I need?

No. You must tell the notary which notarial act you need, or obtain guidance from the document’s receiving agency or a qualified attorney.

Can you provide legal advice?

No. A Florida notary who is not an attorney cannot give legal advice, select a notarial act for you, or prepare legal documents.

Do you travel to hospitals and senior communities?

Yes, when facility access, signer readiness, availability, and appointment details are confirmed in advance.

How much does an appointment cost?

Florida notarial fees will not exceed the amount allowed by law. Any separate mobile travel or convenience fee depends on the location, time, distance, and circumstances. You will receive the full quote before confirming.

Can you notarize a document with blank spaces?

Documents should be complete and free of blank spaces that could be filled in later. If your document is incomplete, the notarization may need to be postponed.

Do all signers need to appear?

Yes. Every person whose signature is being notarized must personally appear before the notary with acceptable identification.
